Of course, trading Mahle alone, they should get a good return. I was looking to see if they had any bad contracts that make sense to take back in a deal to lessen the return (not that the Sox really make those moves) but that doesn't really work either, unless they want to shed the 1 year/ $8mill owed to Shogo Akiyama. In addition to their pitchers, what about Tyler Naquin for RF? He will be a free agent, at the end of the year, so he shouldn't cost much in prospect capital.
