Seems like it's something that isn't in their best interest? Though I imagine it might help some of these guys who overthink it? Turn off your mind and throw your pitch. Had a nice strikeout on a fastball up in the zone, but also had a slider tattooed right at the first basemen. Showed his curveball as well. Maybe as players move up the minor league ladder, you could shorten the time between pitches. Arguing younger guys might benefit from a couple seconds more to process especially when guys are on base.
