Excellent article that delineates processes the White Sox should be undertaking NOW if they don’t want to end up behind the Tigers and Royals, too.

Minnesota FO or Baldelli next up at the guillotine.

These teams look at Cleveland and think WTF and fire everyone.  The White Sox are content with losing.

I just don't see Hahn getting fired. The best we can hope for is KW retires, Hahn moves up to his spot, and someone from outside the org gets brought in as GM and is allowed to actually make decisions.

The idea that a team could spend this much money and disappoint this badly again and the GM could have this terrible of a record and they just say ho-hum everything is going to plan is just baffling.

One thing about Dayton Moore, btw, unless the majority of players on the roster are born again Christians (like Madrigal), you don’t want him anywhere near your franchise.

He would be just another version of Buddy Bell.

That’s really judge mental .  What does being a born again Christian have to do with winning or losing?

You have obviously never been around a big league clubhouse.  It's proselytizing religious belief...which works only if everyone is in agreement.  The 87-91 Twins would be an example. Almost every Royals' player is/was FCA.  Every aspect of the way Moore runs things is based on his fervent beliefs.  It's also one of the reasons Madrigal was Jettisoned...because he was rubbing many in the clubhouse the wrong way.

I’m not questioning your locker room credentials I’m questioning your blanket biased statement.   Perhaps they should bring in a bunch of thugs like the NFL.   In between drug suspensions and off the field criminal activities you better have a deep bench of them.

Williams' contract expires after the 2023 season, supposedly he has already told JR it will be his last deal, he's retiring.

Would likely been 9 out of 10 if they played the full 162 in 2020. They would have played actual quality teams in the East and West divisions, and they were down to two starting pitchers with 100 games to go (Lucas who was awesome and injured Keuchel pitching on fumes by Game 62).

Hahn has one 80+ win season, and the Sox among the bottom near dead last among the 30 MLB teams under his watch (will post at the conclusion of the season).

Hahn's 82 + Win White Sox Seasons: 2021 (93), 2022 (Needs 6-4 or better)

Tony's 82 + Win White Sox Seasons: 1982 (87), 1983 (99), 1985 (85), 2021 (93), 2022 (63-65 record in the dugout)

If you don't understand why projecting your religious beliefs on a sports team, in 2022, is a fucking ridiculous and idiotic thing, especially given how culturally diverse sports are, maybe you need to enter the 21st century?

Holding anti-porn meetings and chastising players for having children out of wedlock, I'm sure, goes over really well with most young men today.😆

But, I have to confess, the Kansas City Royals have astounded even this veteran observer. A week or so ago, the team hosted a workshop to warn players and coaches against the dangers of … pornography. The way this happened was equally odd. Apparently, after one of the Royals was busted for a DUI last season, GM Dayton Moore got up at a press conference called to address the situation and wound up veering off into a screed about the perils of porn. (Moore has made no secret of his religious fundamentalism. One of his basic texts is a book titled, The Management Methods of Jesus, a title which, I admit, seems fairly far removed from the gospels.) So, I guess this recent workshop can be seen as a kind of follow-up to what Moore said at that press conference.

In fact, the Royals always have had a close relationship with fundamentalist Protestantism, and with its many enthusiastic fundraising arms. I can remember being in the press box at Royals Stadium back in the day and seeing the headquarters of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes on a bluff out behind left field. (The nights when the biweekly apocalyptic thunderstorms came rolling in off the prairies and illuminated the FCA building with lightning were especially signifying.) In 2001, fed up with losing, manager Tony Muser said "Chewing cookies, drinking milk, and praying isn't going to get it done. It's going to take a lot of hard work and some mindset … I'd like them to go out and pound tequila rather than have cookies and milk.”The local Christian activists went up the wall, and so did the fundamentalists on Muser’s team, one of whom was Mike Sweeney, who was the franchise cornerstone. Muser was gone by the end of the following April.

I'm not certain you have to be religious to believe that porn or casually having children is a bad thing. Looking at statistics kids do better with two parents no matter the wealth.

So we'll respect cultural similarity but not diversity? You say diverse then shut down something based on Muslim faith? I'm not certain that respects the diversity.

I'm also going to agree that the workplace may not be the best place for that dialogue.

All under Rick "talk to me after the parade" Hahn has been in charge.

I’m thinking they just keep needing more time to plan the logistics of the parade. Route optimization, ticker tape is probably tough to get with the supply chain issues, etc. These things take time.

I love this idea if you could move Hahn up to Kenny's spot and make sure he is never involved. Assure the new GM had full authority on all baseball decisions, which would be guaranteed by Reinsdorf, then maybe a good GM would possibly come here. Sadly though, unless the team gets sold in the offseason or Jerry passes away, this is probably not happening.

Why does having a child out of wedlock mean there aren't two parents?????

Also, I was making a point that the workplace, especially in sports, is no place for your religious beliefs to be projected onto others. I didn't say anything about his religious beliefs. He can believe whatever the f*** he wants to believe(I disagree with his beliefs, and his defense of a player that molested his niece gives me doubts that they are even genuine). Leave religion at home.

That's your belief. Should you leave it at home or share it here? If your belief is shared by millions of other people does it make it less valid?
