So what do we expect today: Moncada out (DTD) and Robert on the IL or are they going to dick around for 3-4 days before placing him on the IL?

Might be seeing an infield of Harrison, Elvis and Romy from 3B to 2B.

Leury will be back soon

It was interesting to me seeing a bunch of people call him a pussy when you watch the replay and see his wrist go sideways off of Schoops leg.  His wrist is killing him right now he can’t complete his swing motion unless it’s perfect

If the organization came out and said "yeah he sprained his wrist and it will be a while until he can swing normally" everybody would understand. Instead the org goes "He is fine and is day to day, could pinch hit tonight", only to not play him for 10 days. It just gives the impression that he should be playing when in fact he can't. I don't understand why they do this consistently. What purpose does downplaying injuries do? Do they think its some edge they have on other teams? It doesn't make sense!

I don’t disagree that the organization has the worst messaging in the league.  But calling the guy La Puss after that replay was fucking meatball shit

Cespedes and Colas fit the bill, but the team doesn’t want to rush. Sept call ups should be happening, especially now if they had something. Rutherford has been a born AAA player. I don’t know though, a little cup of coffee for Cespedes or Colas to get their feet wet shouldn’t  hurt anything.

Calling up Colas right now would be extremely stupid.  Just wait until May.  Its not that complicated.  AV would have more value if the Sox didn't put him on the OD roster in 21 just to sit on the bench 4x a week for the first few weeks.  Its idiotic decison making.

Plus, September rosters are just plus 2 guys now.  Foster will be back.  Bummer and Leury are coming back.  Burger is probably coming back. Martin on Saturday. There really isn't room for extraneous guys.  Probably isn't even room for Romy.

And to make matters worse, they (TLR) made the BRILLIANT decision to destroy any chance of a retroactive IL stint to pinch hit him!

Oh shit....actually, he didn't pinch hit him.

HE USED HIM AS A PINCH RUNNER!!!!!!!!!!!

We've reached beyond "bad" or "concerning" or "awful".....this org has moved into full-on incompetence.

Nothing seems to make sense with the White Sox and injury situations. The situation with Moncada has been odd all season. Did Luis re-injure his wrist or this something all different? It looked odd when he dropped his bat twice and went back out into the field to play.

He definitely tweaked it on a swing at the end of the game on Wednesday. He was tolerating the pain and continuing a hitting streak up to that point, but Thursday he was in really bad shape and it seemed to get worse later in the game (although the guy throwing 99 was probably part of that.)

Well said. And just to add to that: you also have to carry those guys on the 40-man roster during the off-season as well. Just wait until May, like they should have done with Vaughn.

Ummm…except for the fact he has no future with this franchise unless the goal is relocation ala Oakland.

Perhaps, but Jason Benetti can mention Mark being from Orland Park and that he went to Saint Rita. What else is there to talk about on broadcasts these days?

This season is basically over, just shut down the constantly fragile Eloy, Moncada and Robert. Let them heal 100% and hopefully be ready for next year. All 3 and TA should forget about weights, baseball is a game of agility not emulating Charles Atlas.

Nah. He's 24 years old. The only stupid thing would be playing service time games with him. Sox have pissed him off enough already with how they've handled him. Sox have probably already threatened their own Cuban connection with their own stupidity .

Yep.  I say bring him up and stick him in RF.  If he hits, then there will at least be some hope for 2023.

Pissing him off? Who cares what he thinks. He’s controlled by the White Sox for 6 mlb seasons, but really 7 if they don’t make stupid short sighted decisions. There isn’t a single good reason to bring Colas to the big leagues before late April 2023. By the time he’s a FA, if he’s still holding a grudge from a non call up in 2022 when he was hardly even a top 100 prospect, there are bigger issues at play.

Now, peak stupidity would be to not bring him up this season, and then put him on the OD roster in 23, I will give you that.

You realize I have to save this post for next March now, right?
