AJ having a great game.  Can’t believe they’re stuck with him next year.

That's because the chessmaster went for a closer who wasn't going to close and historically didn't do well in that role last year.  And then double down on being dumb.

Hahn needs to go.

We need some homers in order to win this game, regardless of the ump who has been terrible.

He's robbing our hitters of favorable counts on pitches that are barely competitive. He didn't call a pitch from Cease that he's been giving Freeland that resulted in 2 runs scoring. At worst, this is a 1 run game right now if he just called a fair game. I don't have a problem with umpires giving big zones, but you have to give it to both teams.

Just wait until he spends a fortune on Bellinger this offseason

A good reminder that the UmpireScorecards website tracks which teams have had friendly calls during the year and the White Sox have had the 3rd to 4th friendliest umpires all year, with a big help to their pitching staff overall.

I think it's a matter of framing when you're looking at a sample this big. Some umps just suck. The Sox were next to last in favor last year cause Zach Collins was the worst framer in baseball. With him gone, we instantly jumped up the favor list.

They’re also just a better team.  Way better defense and team speed.

The fact that they have to have a project "Birmingham" because they need to have all of their best instructors in one spot says enough about the development of this organization.  The Twins, Dodgers, Rays, etc. don't have to send all of their top prospects to one place to learn to play baseball because they have a way, a singular voice on how to play that brand of baseball.  We don't teach s%*#.  They come up not knowing how the game is played.

Joe Kelly with an uncharacteristic lights-out first AB (3-pitch strikeout including a painted-corner sinker for strike 1 and a wipeout curveball for strike 3)

Kelly is only good when he can command his sinker. You just gotta hope and pray that he's healthier next year cause he's getting $8 million next year regardless.

19 left after today and they will be 5 out in the loss column.  They have to sweep the Guardians and that still might not be enough.  Large amount of people with this organization should be unemployed after this year with what has happened.

We’re in for one hell of a s%*# show next month.

Bullpens are a crapshoot....I would not be surprised if Kelly is great next year...he can't be much worse.

For some reason, he came out to start the year throwing a crazy number of curve balls.

Kelly's peripherals are actually pretty good. He's been a combination of unlucky and bad because he has no control. If he's healthy next year, I can see him rebounding.
