I hated that 2018 draft. I still thought it may have paid off and I thought this year the Royals would be better than the tigers. I am so far right, but, I thought htey'd be like 72-75 wins so I'm still dumb.

Moore I think was too sentimental. But some new guy is gonna be happy as hell he has Pratto and Bobby Witt Jr.

Getting a "haul" for for your better players is a myth if the scouting is not there.  Be careful for what you wish for with the blow it all up mentality.   I couldn't deal with the maybe good once a decade.

Who can remember this was one of the top organizations in baseball?

Sox were sentimental about that team, too.  4 years after the Royals  won the WS, the Sox signed their 2015 set-up man to a $16 mill deal.

Re the 2018 draft, the Astros got Correa's replacement in the third round...Sox got, well, Cesar Hernandez, Mazara and Pollock, I guess.

Moore actually emphasized defense with the players he has unlike Hahn. I doubt he would over see a team with maybe 2 guys tops who are above average with the glove (Robert, Moncada, not counting 1 year vets like Harrison and Andrus).
