You may want to add Tampa Bay to our 0.01% shot.

They have a much tougher end of season then Sea. (Sea plays KC, Tex, Oak, and Det)

Tampa remaining games:

3 vs. Blue Jays

3 @ Guardians

3 @ Astros

3 @ Red Sox

I track the closest wild card team, which is Seattle. Toronto and Tampa can also mathematically be caught in the Wild Card race at this stage.

The Sox current wild card elimination number is seven.

If the Sox find a way to move Lucas and Moncada this off-season, I'd probably consider buying back in for season tickets.

That's how much I'm sick of those 2 guys.

Ah yes, the long-term COVID boys.  Both are so disappointing this year.

AJ Pollock continues to play everyday. He needs 10 more plate appearances to lock in $13M next year, 60 to lock in $14M.

One way to encourage him to take the player option and sign elsewhere in 2023 it is to sit him for the rest of the season, IL Robert, and let Payton and or Haseley to play everyday.

I would take my changes with Quintana for a little less money putting up similar results.  I don’t want him non-tendered, but rather for some bench pieces.

Money says Quintana is paid more than Giolito next season (or gets a multi year deal).
