I really wonder what would have happened had Jerry had gone to Tampa. This is kind of the same situation.

At least the Rays finally realized that creating the impression of a sellout by tarping 35-40% of the available seats has created a significant home field advantage.

Jerry would never surrender that possibility of selling seats... although I guess they did chop off, what, 5000-7500 seats from the upper deck at one point?

More A's lowlights

No way those signs would last for more than. a couple of minutes at G-Rate.

If you think that’s a lowlight, this might be rock bottom.

Note: A’s announcer said N-word on video of live broadcast describing his wonderful visit to the Negro League Museum. Viewer discretion is advised.

The 2 strange this about this are these segments are usually pre recorded, so you would think it would have been caught. The second thing is his partner doesn't even flinch. If I was standing next to him at the very least there would have been a WTF look.

As of yesterday Outman has 1.7 fWar which is tied for 10th in baseball and is playing CF without any errors. LH, Power, speed, defense, high OBP . Precisely why I wanted the unranked rookie. The highest White Sox position player is Luis Robert, Jr. 1.1 fWar who is 49th in baseball.

6. The best hitter in baseball is … Brent Rooker?
Last November, the Royals -- a team that isn’t exactly overflowing with hitters -- waived Rooker, and the A’s picked him up, almost on a whim. The guy who had a total of 10 homers in three seasons for three teams was inserted into the A’s starting lineup, and he has exploded, hitting 10 homers already this year and leading the Majors in both slugging and OPS. He’s coming by it honestly too, with a batting eye that has resulted in a .424 OBP, just one point behind AL leader Matt Chapman. There isn’t a lot going right in Oakland right now, but Rooker, a 28-year-old journeyman, is perhaps the most out-of-nowhere happy story in the sport at this moment.
