With Garcia TJS, which Astros' outfield prospect or pitcher would you trade for?

Assuming Giolito Lynn Clevinger all on the market along with pretty much any member of the bullpen paired with that starter...

Catching prospect makes a lot of sense too if they can actually stick at that position.

A better question would be: as bad as this bullpen has been, and as mediocre as Lynn and Giolito have been, what contender would part with their top prospects for pitchers that won’t help them?

We are in this thing to win it. We still have a fighting chance with 130 +-  games left

Sure, we might agree with you had the division lead not reversed from potentially 6 to 8 games after blowing 4 consecutive chances to sweep Minnesota.

That and having to beat three teams now instead of just 1-2.

In the end, what do the Sox get out of losing Rodon Grandal Lynn Lopez Giolito, Graveman etc., with absolutely nothing back to show for it?

Just another 5-7 years of mired in mediocrity.

(Competing this year also requires Hendriks to come back at 100% too... and he doesn't look anywhere close yet physically.)

Depends on your definition of 'fighting chance." All of the projections and odds now show the Sox have a very, very slim chance to do anything. Granted anything can happen but the reality is it very likely isn't... so when the time comes a smart organization acts accordingly.

If by anywhere close to 100% means he's back on the 26 in 2 weeks or less, then has to ramp up to get close to 100% for another couple weeks , the 1st couple weeks of June isn't so bad to put a guy in the pen who will more than likely be one of our best relievers.

At least until he's traded come July.

Unless Rick Hahn gets fired, the White Sox are not going to trade anyone of note, let alone starting pitching.

I'm sure Rick will be scouring the bullpens of the potential targets.

Of course, he should have his scouts dispatched readying for this.  But that's too much work.

Forecasting a complete turnaround of the organization?

It certainly can't be Hahn bringing in a new team... or God forbid handing over the keys to Getz.

That was the 2020 "using Covid to cover up gutting the Ops department" move after the season that never really happened.

Not necessary.  Sox scouting is easily fooled.

If we can get anything for Rodon, we should take it.

Well, we ALREADY lost Rodon, Heuer, Madrigal, etc.

AJ Pollock, in a way... thankfully.  Except that led directly to Benintendi.  So Pollock ended up eating into a lot of future financial flexibilty already (due to his dislike for staying another year with the Sox) while costing himself a good bit of change in the process.
