CentralChamps21
Haven't seen anything regarding Grandal. I get that he's not very good, but isn't there at least one playoff hopeful out there for whom a .700 OPS would be an upgrade?

He is the one player on the WS I would take a PTBNL for. A shadow of his former self.

Sox being stuck with half his remaining $ is better than being stuck with all of it.
CWSpalehoseCWS
I honestly wouldn’t be surprised to see him straight DFA’d if they can’t find a taker for him. Really feels like they are going to hand Lee the job after Tuesday and ride him out. I think someone will take a flyer on him. Even Garfien said on one of the postgame shows a source said the Sox were willing to give him away. 2

That's really stupid. Your only chance to get even a little bit of salary relief for him is to tell teams you'll keep him if nobody trades for him. I didn’t pay attention but Ozzie made him say exactly what the report said and Garfien said he was trying to be nice by leaving out the part where “they’d give him away.” Maybe someone else can shed light on it if they remember hearing it. Could see the Yankees doing that, unless Rodon has the power to veto it. Donaldson would definitely veto based on Grandal's role defending Tim in the Jackie Robinson incident. The Yankees have to eat $6M to make Donaldson go away. Fucking dumbasses. Hope they never win another World Series.

bmags
I doubt there were CJ Cron rumors either. Grandal is going to be a "eh maybe if other stuff falls thru and the price is right"
LittleHurtCG
Is Grandal totally cooked or will someone give him a one year deal for around 2 or 3 million this offseason?

I bolded it, it looks like you are saying that the Yankees could do the same DFA thing with Rodon. So what the f*** are you talking about? Edit: Oh lmao you are getting in the weeds with the grandal conversation. Never mind I’m just gonna go back to thinking the league is sad now because some teams aren’t trading
Squirmin' for Yermin
No rumors because no one is targeting him right now. Maybe when the deadline nears, someone will say, f*** it, we will trade this 24 year old, A+ scrub.

Sign him on the cheap, hope for a decent year, and flip him for a lottery ticket. Seems like there is a good chance this is Grandal's last year in the show though. Dude is a disaster behind the plate and doesn't hit enough to warrant time as a DH or 1B.

Dick Allen
I think the Sox are probably trying hard to get someone to bite, and probably at the deadline they will be willing to eat as much of his contract they are allowed to eat to get some prospect. If that fails, he's obviously not in the plans, and Hahn already said Lee will probably be with the team this season, so Grandal is obviously going to be gone one way or another, kind of like you knew it was curtains for Big Energy when they gave Grifol his number. And it makes sense if he isn't going to be here. Play Perez, Lee, Seby, although I think the first two should get the bulk, for the rest of the season. Timmy U
Title is misleading. I thought that there were rumors spurred by Grandal being absent from the team. That gave me hope. No surprise their are no Grandal rumors, the guy is clearly toast.
