11. Chicago Bulls: Khaman Maluach, C, Duke

"The Nikola Vučević and Zach Collins era has to end soon when their contracts are off the books in 2026, right? A center is a need. Maluach is a towering rim protector with switchable mobility, erasing shots at the rim and shadowing quick guards on the perimeter. But beyond dunking lobs, he’s a work in progress on offense with a lack of seasoning as a screener, shooter and creator. Such a raw skill set should come as no surprise since the South Sudan native didn’t start playing basketball until he was 13. So taking Maluach would make a lot of sense for the Bulls since he can learn as a rookie before getting heavier minutes moving forward."

I texted my brother that the game was over after Giddey airballed the floater down 3. What a crazy set of events.

Me to my wife:

"Ok they need a quick three, a stop and a two."

"Oh no, Pat has it."

"PAT HIT IT?! Ok. Now they need to get a stop or a stea — oh s%*#! Coby!" We proceeded to freak out, because Coby is her favorite player.

We got bummed when Reaves it. Both of us scared our dog when Giddey hit that shot. Then immediately texted my best friend who was also freaking out.

Absolutely great crowd reactions (both Bulls and Lakers) in here

Coach D could have had someone more athletic than Vuc in there for  defense on that next-to-last play.  Like a shot blocker.

The Lakers were constantly trying to get Vuc ISO'd and it should have worked every time. We got lucky they missed a few open shots.

Who? This team is 12 guards. I’d put Donovan in for coach of the year, personally.

Oops, didn’t realize this was the NBA thread.  Just assumed it was the NFL thread.

That's how the Bulls are going to end up with someone nobody's ever heard of in a tanking year...owners like JR and the McCaskeys

10. Chicago Bulls: Collin Murray-Boyles, F, South Carolina

The Nikola Vučević and Zach Collins era has to end soon when their contracts are off the books in 2026, right? Adding a frontcourt player is needed, so CMB makes a ton of sense. And Murray-Boyles operates like a defensive savant the way he locks down every position, uses his ninja-quick hands to swipe at the ball, and inhales rebounds. The offensive fit with Josh Giddey and Matas Buzelis could be a little clunky since Murray-Boyles is an unproven shooter, but he’s a bulldozer finisher with a playmaking feel. If he fixes his jumper, there’s All-Star upside

Nuggets fire Malone because WHAT

And the GM, because apparently they hated each other creating a toxic environment where players got divided into camps.

Jokic was apparently not consulted and likes Malone.

Meanwhile, the Athletic has a line that Booth was upset that Malone wasn't playing Jalen Pickett down the stretch of close games.

Also, Cavs ended up winning big, but they played their full team minus Mitchell most of the night.

The Bulls sat Giddey, Coby, Huerter and Vuc (and obviously Lonzo and Jones) and pulled the game back to single digits multiple times before going to Jevon Carter and the G Leaguers.

I still don't expect much in the playoffs, but it was fun watching Matas and the bench scrap against the #1 team in the East.
