Timmy U
Nancy Faust at the game on Sunday. I suggest her walk up song for Elko should be “Wilco (the song).” Almost an Oh Ee Oh Magglio vibe.

But the kid is deserving to get a shot and can't be much worse than what we are seeing from Vaughn.
WestEddy
Andrew Vaughn is OPSing .749 in May. Trade him now.
Lyle Moooton
The fact this guy has even made the big leagues is pretty remarkable. Good for him. Hopefully some of that success can transfer to the big time.

Dropping Vaughn and having Sosa/Vargas/Elko as a rotating 1b/DH combo would do wonders.

From SoxMachine: https://soxmachine.com/2025/05/pregame-notes-still-got-that-pope-thing-going-for-them Quote Chase Meidroth was scratched from the lineup with right shoulder soreness and replaced at shortstop with Jake Amaya, while the rest of the batting order was slid up a spot to replace him. Getz personally imbued Tim Elko with his advancement in the organization, then kept the entire group that drafted him. I'm led to believe by you guys that Chris Getz made all the decisions under Hahn. I'm a young soul.

ChiSox59
Glad Elko got the call, he's earned it. I'll be rooting for the guy, but I have low expectations. 30% K rates in the minor leagues do not translate well to the big leagues, especially for a DH type. I suspect most of the those clamoring for him the past month will be complaining about his inability to make contact in no time. 2
