Yesterday at 05:51 PM1 day It's amazing how much they've changed his entire delivery: Not a perfect angle, but you can still see the dramatic changes.

Need a super compact and coordinated lower half of the delivery. Easier for some than others, like Noah for example is all over the place lower half and leads to leaving a lot of balls up and outside to RHB especially.

This season is found money, no need to rush the guy.Much easier to work on swing plane down in AAA than coming up into a pennant race. I certainly hope we stay in contention all year but it's more likely we fade and he can come up with little pressure in August or so and get a cup of coffee before breaking with club next year in what we'd expect will be the first contending year should offseason go well for us and league. Can't believe I just typed that but in a world where the payroll would jump to 170 million next year adding 10 WAR on paper would be easy either by taking on money or FA signings or both.

19 hours ago19 hr The biggest hole in the bottom of the line-up is not with the RFer but at catcher. Not sure how long that Teel's rehab is going to take but it is maddening to see so many ABs given away by Romo and Quero. They have both run into one here and there, but more often than not, they kill rallies.
18 hours ago18 hr It’s pretty safe to say the Sox should go shopping at the mall store for catchers and outfielders before infielders

But he was DFA'd earlier this year and wasn't claimed so I have no idea if they'd have to do it again or his options status changes. Michael Turner is 27 left handed and hitting very well (.337 BA & .988 OPS in 26 games) in Charlotte but would need a 40 man spot . Not sure of defense but the movement on pitches at the MLB level makes a lot guys with good defensive reputations in the minors look bad in the majors until they learn their pitchers.
3 hours ago3 hr A perfect day would be seeing Braden Montgomery called up and Andrew Benintendi DFA. One can hope.
3 hours ago3 hr The voting for the upcoming home stand is about to take a leap! Its at 10% now. Before the All-Star break is at 19%. Technically right if true just not as pinpoint as this homestand.I was on record as saying some time in June. If this is true as it likely is. Edited 3 hours ago3 hr by CaliSoxFanViaSWside
3 hours ago3 hr It's still a little early for that. His xwoba in Charlotte is significantly worse than his actual woba so there seems to be some work to be done. I'm glad he is taking more walks now and has brought his K rate down. Needs to cut down on groundballs and get to more of the power. It shouldn't be too long but this might be a bit early.
