Jenks with save #30. He is tied for the league lead with Putz, and has the 3rd most saves in the bigs since 2006 (Hoffman, Rodriguez).

With the Tigers and Indians losses, the Sox are now 12.5 and 12.0 GB respectively.

Mark is so damn awesome. Bobby seems to be back in his groove after a little rough patch, so that's great to see. How'd Richar look? Obviously judging from the boxscore he had a very nice game.

Richar did good.

First hit was a basehit up the middle, although Mcdonald fielded it but couldnt make the play.

His next hit was to the left side, Glaus was playing in and he put it between ss and Glaus for a hit. Then Owens hit him in.

He didnt get much action on defense besides the dp turns.

Nice start, and against Halladay surely a big confident boost for Ownes also.

Not to put a dampen on things, but Richar also popped out. That was how he made his only out, just to let you know.

Damn. First game game I've missed in weeks and Richar was playing? How did he look offensively/defensively?

He turned 1, maybe 2, DP's. He's got a better arm then Tad from what it looked like. He was 2-3, with a single up the middle that McDonald stopped, and a fairly hard hit ball in between Glaus and McDonald.

i was at the game today

and i have to say that richar turning DPs compared to iguchi is like night and day

he gets rid of the ball slightly quicker and his arm strength is head an shoulders above iguchi.

i was impressed and hopefully thats one less hole the sox have to fill for next year

Went to the game tonight and I feel much better about the team. I realize that it was just one game, but something about Pods back and the kids Richar, Fields, and Owens contributing made me less pissed about this seasons disappointments and more optimistic. There seemed to be a swagger of confidence returning. I had by far the worst seats I've ever had but had a great time.
