What's the strangest/funniest/wildest non-baseball thing at USCF

Before the renovation the Sox were playing the Cubs on a Sunday night and me and my friend were in the front row of the RC field bleachers back when there were bleachers in RF. There was still the mote in front of us and we had a rather large lady flashing us her brains for 7 innings. It really wasn't a pretty sight, and I'm not gay.

I've had a few strange moments at the park:

-In 2002, I took a client to the Sox Cubs Friday game. A few Cubs fans in the row behind us had a high school kid with them (maybe their brother?) who they kept feeding beer. About midway through the 6th, the kid vomited all over my client's back. It was not a pretty sight and made it a very strange day.

-In the early 2000's - can't remember what year - the Sox had a make up game against the Mariners so they played a twilight double header - 4:05 and 7:05pm. There was a guy sitting in the Upper Deck in RF - Section 516 or so. He was all by himself about 15 rows up and the batter - I think it was Ichiro - pulled consecutive foul balls into the UD within a few rows of him. Two consecutive pitches, two foul balls in his possession at a game. Pretty random.

-I think it was 2001 - my wife (then GF) had a Friday night work patio party at the game and I was invited. I had a terrible day at work and got to the park around 6pm. I decided before going to a social event, I would just relax and blow off steam with 10 minutes of BP. I went straight from gate 5 to the RF stands, walked down the steps and immediately caught a BP ball from Chris Singleton (Rays at the time) that bounced off the track and went right to me. That changed my mood quickly enough to go enjoy plenty of pregame cocktails with my wife's coworkers.

-I went to a Sox Cubs game at Wrigley in 2005. I had tix way back in the 200 section on a sweltering day - no breeze, just miserable. To cool down we stood up and went back to standing room only at the top of our section. I had on a Sox shirt with the 70's block letter SOX in white across the front. The friend I was with was a Cubs fan. A super drunk Cubs fan was walking around yelling Sox suck, Sox suck and as he got closer, 10 people or so away, he saw my shirt, put his head down and started walking super fast our way. He stopped in front of my friend who had a Cubs polo on, got in his face and freaked out yelling Sox Suck, FU, etc. It was so funny. Missed me by one spot - just too drunk to know what he was doing.

I was at a game in 1998 with my drunken uncles and my best friend against the yankees in the third row, first base side. Drunken uncle # 1 was heckling Jeter all day long calling him a very bad three letter word. I tried to explain he was dating Mariah Carey, which would make that term useless. Jeter gets to first base, Uncle keeps yelling, and Jeter and Frank Thomas are just shaking there heads.

Same game, hot girl on the kiss cam or something who was just a section over. Drunk uncle yells "show me your tits", the section was cheering, she was embarrased. Camera then moves to a big fat hairy guy who lifts his shirt, licks his fingers, and rubs his nipples!

Another game, same seats, jose Cruz Jr. Drops three fly balls. He catches one to end an inning comes running into the dugout, we gave him a standing ovation and he tipped his cap to us. Pretty cool gesture!

I had to deal with a Sox fan who showed up to the Cell for first game of Spring Training and thought there was a game in Chicago. He said the White Sox do not do a good enough job of telling people that the game was actually in Arizona. I asked if he thought it was strange that it was "opening day" and there were only employee cars in the parking lot.

Paul O'Neil almost climbing the fence to the BP bar to get at some hecklers. I've never seen a player get so personally offended. He was beat red and about to blow. A few patrons, whom I can only assume were medically trained and concerned about him overheating, shouted to douse him with their cold beer. Cups proceed to pour down from all over. He was soaked. Many were kicked out...I got a better seat. :) The heckling got worse as the game went on. Security came by to tell people to stop talking about his mother and wife etc...

I don't mind a 'you suck' once in a awhile, but some heckling is just absolutely ridiculous.

Oooops. Hope that wasn't me.

Wildest thing I ever witnessed was opening day, 1974. Angels and White Sox, Nolan Ryan vs. Wilbur Wood. Unfortunately the game took a back seat to the drunken goings on all f***ing day. Fights galore, streakers. It was.....wild. Sox lost too, 8-2. But, hey I saw Ron Santo's White Sox debut!

I was at this game.

Went to a game vs. the Cubs a few years ago (thanks Steff!) that the Sox won like 14 to 1 or something like that. Some Cubs fan did something (I didn't see it because he was behind me) but security came to escort him out. All the Sox fans in the section stood and serenaded his exit with "Na Na Na Na Hey Hey Good bye!" He popped the bird double barreled as he left but it was fun. The next game we sat with Steff's parents in th RF corner upper deck and I couldn't talk because my voice was gone from the blowout we had enjoyed the day before.
