Sox should trade for Samardzija

Chris sale as our number 1 & Samardzija as our number 2, this would make us a competitive team. If the new young guys are decent, we could contend faster then some people would expect. I'm not big on getting players from the national league, but I'm sure Cooper can probably turn Samardzija into Cy Young candidate. At least he can keep him interested in playing. Any thoughts what we would have to give up?

Not that I wouldn't want him as a #3-#4 guy, but because of how much someone will overpay for Samardzija. His value has somehow become so inflated for no reason and is completely overrated. I don't want to think of what some dumb team may end up paying for him.

Because it would probably take at least Eaton and Davidson to acquire him, then they'd turn around and have to sign him to the same kind of contract extension that Tanaka's going to get as a free agent coming from Japan just to be a #3 or #4 starter.
