ESPN seems to disagree...but what do they know.

Worst Park been to= Toronto, just didnt like it seemed like I was entering a movie theatre.

I had the same feeling when I was there. Nice stadium but I just didn't get that baseball feel there.

Best park: Camden Yards, great ballpark in a fun town

Worst Park: Tie, between the old mistake by the lake in Cleveland and the Metrodome.

Iowa State has a new head football coach. Smart money is on Central Michigan head coach Brian Kelly, but there is also a chance it is LSU defensive coordinator Bo Pelini.

Apparently we got our #1 choice, which makes me think it might be Pelini. That and the fact that Kelly still has at least two games to coach while Pelini is still a coordinator.

At least, I sure hope it's Bo.

Kelly would be a heck of a coach for your team. He created the D2 powerhouse (my alma mater) GVSU and turned Central Michigan around in three years. His offense is innovative and he can recruit. Pelini would be a good choice and maybe a safe choice but Kelly has the chance to be a great fit.

  4. I voted tigers because...

    1. The twins are just a half game up on Chicago while the tigers are 4 1/2 up

    2. I would see them rather face Detroit in the playoff than the twins due to their record against the tigers.

    3. I just want to see the sox in and heck, the twins are closer

    Two things about Dmitri

    1. Don't feel bad for the guy, last year immediately after he reached 500 plate apperances triggingering an option year in his contract he refused to come into a game to pinch hit because he was 'injured' he then didn't play the rest of the year, in some ways this is sweet karma. (Well, besides the fact the guy choked out his girlfriend and is apparently a drunken drug abuser... :/)

    2. The Tigers have been in an awful 9-19 stretch where we have been unable to hit, during that time Dmitri has sucked. (Something like a .650 OPS from your DH...)

It's not a suprise he was released, and I really doubt it's going to effect 'team chemistry' we played great when he was off in rehab or jail or whatever earlier in the year.

Yeah I seemed to remember him being a big part of the tigers September fold last year in more ways than one.

  6. Most tigers fans that I know are getting a little more frusterated by the day. As much as I want to laugh, I still remind them of the white sox run last year. Anything goes once the playoffs get here. I just hope its the white sox and tigers and not the twins in there.

  7. QUOTE(Bonderman38 @ Sep 6, 2006 -> 08:51 PM)
DD said it was performance related. Of course, it isn't. He was batting third today. If he was all mad being pinch hit for by Hooper, he is a problem. Hooper came in to bunt, which led to two runs for the Tigers.

Yeah this looks kind of wierd. Three weeks to go in the season, forty man rosters, etc. If the tigers can have agreat showing in Minny this weekend, this story will go away real quick.
