Speaking of ridiculous, Neal clearly has a horseshoe up his ass on that one.

Ridiculous lay-in by Lebron on that one.

Why does Pop keep resting Duncan and Parker at the same time? It's like a gift-wrapped run for Miami (especially when they take Wade out).

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 19, 2013 -> 12:06 PM) I think they're a more dangerous team when Wade's not on the floor. He can't shoot for s***. When they can space the floor like mad with 3 point monsters, then LeBron just debases anyone down low. I pretty much said the exact same thing yesterday (probably more than once). At least in his current state, they're much better served putting Lebron out there with Allen, Miller and Chalmers. With 100% Wade, it doesn't really matter because they have two wings that are impossible to stop on the drive.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 19, 2013 -> 10:53 AM) To me there is no argument that they are way more talented than their competition. When they actually show up and play, no one in this NBA can stay with them, as evidenced by the 4th quarter last night. They will show up to play in Game 7. You can't really say WAY more talented given their current opponent and the constant questions about Wade's knee. If Wade's not playing like a top-10 player, they're vulnerable against a team as good as the Spurs. That's supposed to be their big edge, but Wade has really only had one dominant game in the last two series. If he's going to score 15 a game on mediocre percentages, that puts a ton of pressure on Lebron. San Antonio has the second and third best players in this series and Leonard and Green are both better/more dependable than anyone outside of Miami's Big 3. Splitter has played like s*** in this series, but he's also generally a much better option than any non-Bosh bigs for Miami. It's not like they're playing the banged up Bulls where they had the three best players on the floor and better depth. It won't be a colossal upset if the Spurs win. The Heat have the best player and are playing at home so they do have the edge, but San Antonio can easily steal the title with their offensive execution. That's especially true if Lebron is less than stellar since Wade and Bosh haven't looked like All-Stars of late.

I know it'd cause a s***-storm, but I'd bring Wade off the bench. They probably should have done that against Indiana, get more spacing for Lebron and let Wade run the offense in stretches. It'll probably never happen because of egos/chemistry/whatever.

Wow, that was epically s***ty offense on both ends the last few possessions.

Man, Lebron hasn't been able to finish a lot of layups he'd normally make the last few games. Yeah, there's been some good D, but he's also made a career going over/through/whatever to finish those plays.

I don't get Miami's offense. Why are you running pick and rolls with Allen and Wade when Lebron was butt-f***ing them?

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jun 18, 2013 -> 10:52 PM) I think both coaches made huge mistakes down the stretch. Spoelstra bringing in Wade was a mistake and not having Duncan in was really foolish. It's at least even money that Wade tries to be the hero and kills them in OT.

Spurs have been brutal offensively outside of Duncan and some hustle plays from Leonard.

I'll be interested to see how long Wade stays on the bench. Lebron has so much more room to work with shooters out there. Edit- Ha, it's almost like Spoelstra heard me.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jun 18, 2013 -> 10:15 PM) Holy crap is Splitter awful. He is just throwing garbage at the rim and praying it goes in. And I bet you he gets $10 million a year this off-season from someone.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 18, 2013 -> 10:03 PM) Good coaching and execution can defeat the Heat on any given day. They have so much talent, but it's not utilized properly. Spolestra's nothing more than an average coach. Part of it is that Lebron/Wade doesn't work if Wade can't drive like he usually can. With 80% Wade and Lebron on the floor, the spacing just sucks and the Spurs can play off both of them. The Heat have been way better in the post-season with Allen in for Wade (Out of date stat, but it was like 8.9 points/100 according to an ESPN article from like a week ago).

Gotta love that Lebron and Wade are lying there whining about the no call well behind the play. Yeah, they looked like fouls, but IT'S THE FINALS! SHUT UP AND DEFEND!

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jun 18, 2013 -> 08:28 PM) I really wish they'd start calling the hand/forearm in the face from the offensive player. Yes, I realize Blake does that on damn near every attempt at the rim. Also guys that slide in under the offensive player when they're already in the air.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 16, 2013 -> 10:29 PM) Of course some combination of the two would be the best formula. There just aren't many teams out there like that. Anyway, this (to me anyway) is not about hahaha, the heat lose, LeBron is no Jordan, etc, etc. No matter what happens, the Heat have still owned the eastern conference the last three years. I know it can't happen overnight. But the Bulls need to move more towards the new-style NBA. That's kind of the point, there aren't many teams that are a legit threat to knock off the Heat and win a championship. You have to be able to beat them on both ends, which the Spurs are doing (yeah, it's more offense, but they did win game one 92-88 and they held the Heat to 77 in game 3) and the Mavs did (held the Heat to 95 or less in 5 of the 6 games, though that team definitely had less shooting). You're not going to score 105 against them or hold them under 90 every game. We'll see how Chicago and Indiana do next year with guys coming back. Both have the D but need to get better on offense. Unless George takes the leap, I have more faith in the Bulls. Besides Rose, Butler could be a big addition. If nothing else, he's a big boost over Bogans and Rip's chalk outline, and he showed flashes at making open 3's and getting to the line.

Spurs are just getting way better shots, and even when they do get to the rim the Heat aren't finishing (at least 5 point-blank misses in the second half).

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 14, 2013 -> 02:49 PM) And this is what I get for listening to Rotoworld. Atlanta is the best opportunity for them to play together. I could totally see Sterling messing this up too and losing Paul, which would be both a travesty, because the Clippers are fun to watch, and hilarious simply because they are a perpetual circus. Yeah, I don't know how Rotoworld thinks Houston will do it. They need to clear more space just to get one of them. Paycuts? Those would have to be pretty sizeable ones, and I generally don't assume that's going to happen (stupid Heat).
