  1. Twins sweep a rain shortened series and the Royals end April 7-16. In fact the Twins have been them all five times this year. The Royals clanged balls off their gloves all weekend and Miguel Sano killed them.

The 2017 Royals almost look like the 2016 Twins.

  2. The Twins (of all teams) absolutely torched Rangers pitching this year

The Twins are outscoring Texas 60-27 in seven games, with a couple innings to go. They've scored 36 runs in this 4-game series.

    Houston only 6.5 games back.

Twins crush Keuchel, who isn't getting the borderline calls he was getting last year, so he's walking everybody this year. Astros are screwed.

That umpire was awful. In the 5th, Jose Berrios threw a curve right down the middle of the plate and he called it a ball. The catcher got pissed and was tossed out of the game. Berrios threw the same pitch in the same place the next pitch and was called a strike.

  4. The Twins stink right now.

But one thing to watch: Joe Mauer is back to being Joe Mauer (.321 /.453 /.440 /.893 slash line coming into todays game). The ball sounds better coming off his batt and even his outs are well struck (just missed a HR today and has had a couple robbed by OFers). Its being two seasons since concussions ended his catching career and its just nice to see his game back to somewhat normal.

I think my biggest pet peeve in watching baseball these days is how often the broadcast doesn't show where the infielders/outfielders are lined up for every hitter. With so many shifts being deployed, they really should give the viewer an idea of where the holes are prior to the ball being put in play.

    agreed.

Miguel Sano looks like a beast to deal with for the Sox for years to come

His eye at the plate has been better than advertised (I also think the umps have helped him out with walking him on borderline pitches)

Randy Wolf will start for the Tigers tomorrow.

He'll be the 15th player from this season that also played in the 1900's.

Including the suspended Arod, there were 27 last year.

    They're dying off.

Hawkins done after this year. Nathan done. Tim Hudson done? Torii Hunter done ?

  8. In the bottom of the 9th inning and his closer struggling, Lloyd McClendon went out of his way to argue a check swing call and was intentionally trying to get tossed from the game and the crew chief just turned his back on him.

How is McClendon still a manager?
