  1. How about it!? The new video games are coming out, with current rosters, and the White Sox will be an animated juggernaut......... I am going to pick up MLB- The Show this week (who is this ortiz guy on the cover? )........ 2k6 comes out later in the month.......video games will be that much more fun this season with a loaded Sox team!
  2. Ok obviously, the big moments were the 2 homeruns in game 2 (THE greatest White Sox game in history, IMHO), the El Duque 6th inning, the AJ ball that we all know hit the dirt, and the final outs of each series, but I am looking for the moments that made you proud to be a Sox fan and truly moved you, yet wouldn't fit nicely into a 30 second sportscast. Mine = Uribe going into the stands and catching that foulball. Under the circumstances, it is my all-time favorite defensive play!
  3. Good ol' Bev........it is funny now. It wasn't back then. Another classic was the Norton "finger" game. Got to see that one in person!
  4. Thanks again for all the welcomes........ I still have my glove from back in the day, which is centerpieced with a Bill Nahorodny autograph! Beltin'Bill......of ALL the things you reminded us of.........when you mentioned Bevington: Remember when his eyes bugged out of his head when he and Garner went at it? Man! What a time!
  5. Hey folks, First time poster, long time surfer. I just want to thank all the Soxtalk posters for the past few years of insight, scoops, entertainment, and simple banter. I have decided to get off the bench and join in from time to time. With all the obvious reasons for good feeling this past year, it got me reminiscing (more than usual) about the White Sox past…….so many memories from Old Comiskey. For instance, I remember Minnie Minoso taking a few minutes to talk to me because I had my # 9 little league jersey. Another time, I was watching batting practice with my glove over the side of the wall on along the 3rd base foul area. Chet Lemon came up to me, talked and watched BP with me for several minutes. Speaking of BP, one time a group of us went up to Milwaukee (before the league change), and while everyone was tailgating, I went in and watched Big Frank take BP. He proceeded to hit 18 or 20 over the left field wall. Insane, I tell you! All these (& many more) lifetime impressions came racing together last October. It was almost too much to truly grasp when it was happening, and to have the culmination of all those memories come together with the 2005 World Series……..well, I am just now beginning to realize that it actually HAPPENED! I am sure many of you have some great memories that came to the forefront when the World Series was won. Anyone wish to reflect on some of those impressionable times that came back to clarity with the championship? Thanks again and looking forward to a GREAT 2006 team and a whole bunch more of great baseball times! ChisoxJones
