Jerry doesn’t give a f***.  That’s why I’m at least somewhat confident that Grifol might be here through the rest of the season.

I also don't believe Nashville is going to happen. I think Jerry and fam control this team for another 5-10 years.

  2. At this point leaving Grifol in there shows fans, players etc that Jerry doesn't give an F. It's so apparent we are all just a bunch of morons for watching this team. Jerry is the worst owner in sports. Can't take it anymore.

  3. Haven't been active on here for years. Usually read the threads when I'm not logged in.

My friend and I joined Soxtalk a long time ago and we were recently talking about the history of this website. Can anyone give a quick summary of the website's history and who started this awesome forum and how it got started and gained traction?

  4. This is my post from last January ranking Chicago front offices:

    QUOTE (ozzfest @ Jan 20, 2016 -> 09:39 AM) *

Front office rankings in Chicago (in terms of which teams have the best chance to win it all). Which is how a front office should be judged.

    1) Blackhawks

    2) Cubs

    3) Bears

    4) White Sox

    5) Bulls

These are the typical (and actual) responses I got on Soxtalk.

"I don't even know how to analyze that list. But if I go back to Paxson's era I'd say it is Hawks and Bulls and than no one else is even close. Bears are probably 3rd (again, spanning Paxson's run...Cubs would probably rank last and Sox would rank 4th)."

"The only thing Paxson and Forman are guilty of is not having LeBron James. Period. Only one team in the league gets LeBron. The Bulls didn't. That sucks."

"Given the success the Bulls have had relative to their injury/contract situations, I still think the Bulls FO has done a pretty remarkable job."

"So quick to discard Hoiberg when the team he's coaching lacks any Hoiberg type players."

I hate to say I told you so... but I got absolutely smoked on this forum for my hating on GarPax. I also got smoked for these rankings.

If you want to see the thread (it was actually shut down) it is still available to read and the thread is entitled "The Bulls Biggest Problem: Gar Forman and John Paxson"

Curious to see what my harsh and dismissive critics have to say now?

I agree. I can't see Hoiberg going by himself. If Hoiberg goes, I presume Gar goes too. I don't think Paxson goes. The real question is, does Paxson take over GM reigns and hire next coach or does he stay as president and hire a new GM and coach.

I think Reinsdorf will keep Paxson in his current role. Although I believe he should be fired.

Also, Paxson isn't the president. He is "executive vp of basketball ops". Michael Reinsdorf is the president.

Not gonna lie, im starting to lean in that direction as well. Moncada, Giolito, Lopez are all guys who could not only start on the OD roster, but will more than likely make it there this season..

If Quintana gets traded, its definitely a full on rebuild.. but man, there is a lot of evidence to suggest, at the least, that they got rid of the two problem children

    Yep.

  7. I'm starting to think this rebuild is BS. They are just trading the guys that KW didn't get along with (Sale and Eaton) and Robertson (i dont believe Robertson had an issue w management, but i still think they will trade him). This is classic Reinsdorf. Nothing new. More of the same.

They aren't going to trade Quintana, Frazier, Melky, Abreu etc... They are branding this as a rebuild so that fans get sucked in. But this is not a change in organizational philosophy. This is just Reinsdorf allowing his life tenured executive(s) to get rid of players they don't get along with.

  8. Bulls far and away the worst front office in Chicago.

    No contest.

Last night was the epitome of who the Bulls are. After watching that, we can now understand what goes through free agents minds as they sit across from those two clowns and arrogant (and uninvolved) reinsdorf.
