Maybe. Zaleski is filler and that's it, so, they may just be using him to help manage the other guys' innings.

 

 

 

He was at one time ranked as high as #12 in the Sox system by FutureSox (in 2010). Surgery in 2011 is what knocked him off the radar. 2012 is a recovery year for him, getting stretched back out. 2013 will be the year that dictates if he still has a major league future. But at this point, he's off the radar, probably in the 30-40 range in the system.

There will be a trade soon...too many guys in the organization. Half of Charlottes staff has thrown in the majors this year some with success others not. Gotta get something for those guys. We would have a pretty good staff today with the people we traded away...Gonzales, Hudson, Richard to name a few. Kenny likes to pick up older washed up guys with big names. If we don't get Grienke look out...

If we need a few starts, sure, give him a shot. If we think he can handle the long relief role better than Stewart, great, let's try it. If we're trying to win the division, are we going to trade away a starter to clear a space for him and be put in a spot where the team sinks or swims based on his performance? Unwise.
