Wow, I've been watching Smoak for the last couple years here at the University of South Carolina and this kid can do amazing things, also, he's very humble and comes from a great family background. HUUGE article about him in the paper today.

Anyone see where CC. Sabathia got hit today? Indians boards say it could be a fracture, which I believe is a minimum of 2 months to heal.

I think some of you guys have mentioned this but I too would be more than willing to give up one (or more) of our starters and have a mediocre season in 07 and load up on potentially can't miss prospects (I know that's a contradiction) for another run at this thing starting with 08 and beyond. The time is right if we are going to get rid of any number of our starters.

I tried to locate something on Bulls tickets in the Ticket Exchange but could find nothing. I am going to Chicago around New Years and will be staying around two weeks. I want to go to a Bulls game preferably against the Suns/ Pistons/ or even the Rockets. Should I just wait to buy tickets when I get there or is there a site to look for Bulls tickets? Or if any of you guys could help me out that would be swell.

I think the reason the band is so hated is because of the groups popularity and with it, come stereotypes which many find unfavorable. Its something that's really a bad stereotype of an actual DMB fan, like Ligue and such for the Sox, we aren't ALL like that. I'm really looking forward to a better answer of why nobody else here likes DMB that isnt just, They suck, or Dave sucks./rant
My personal belief is that it is not only the band itself that gives DMB a band rap, but the frat boys, as you mentioned. Most people would agree here that about 85 to 90% of frat guys like or must listen to DMB or bands like O.A.R. (whom I have no problem with), atleast in the south, that is the case. Most people would also agree that frat guys are not soo cool after you get out of your freshmen and sophomore years of college. Regardless, my real reason for disliking DMB is because of the insane ticket prices for going to one of their shows, upwards of 100-140$; that my friends is too much to ask for a group that are probally all millionaires 20 times over. Is the music for their fans or for the money they can create my playing the same style on 10 different albums??
/rant.
PS- my music taste varies but I typically listen to tooth & nail stuff; anberlin, emery, underoath, waking ashland, I like sufjan stevens a lot, Mae, pretty much anything with some good meaning behind it. I can get down to some Micheal Jackson too.

By the way, I don't know if this was mentioned, but the field sucked ass today, I've never seen such a bad playing surface. I saw atleast 15-20 guys slipping throughout the game, three times on crucial plays; the Kasey extra point and the two Smith TD's. Of course the TD's worked out in my favor
, but the field conditions were inexcusable. -
I hope you guys aren't tacking Steve Smith like the last time my Panthers got manhandled by the Bears; even though he came up with around 160 yds., he did not get in the endzone. Being said, I think Deshaun Foster will have a pretty good game and if Jake will keep his head on straight and not throw absolutely horrible passes, I can see us pulling this out. The thing that worries me is, the Panthers never seem to have back-to-back "solid" games. I'm worried about this simple fact and of course Rex Grossman

Is Pierre that bad in the outfield to where we wouldn't want him batting behind Pods..I would be willing to give up a couple of balls that he couldn't get to just to have that deadly top of the order...I hope we get Pierre tonight.

So has anyone figured out what all this deal includes, specifically the player we gave up in addition to AROW and how much of his contract did the Phillies pick up? Damnit I'm gonna miss Rowand, but everywhere Thome goes, it seems like the fans embrace the hell out of him because of his blue collar mentality and he's just an overall nice guy. I don't think the chemistry will be a problem at all, and hell A.J. and Joe can go out and drink with Thome now... I like this trade mucho..

I have it and I would say 1 size bigger....
The fleece is one size larger than normal or I should order one size larger than I would normally wear?? I'm sorry I am braindead.

Anyone who ordered the black fleece (the one that is plain with just the "Sox" down the very top of the shirt I think like 60$ was the price) with the WS logo on the side from MLB.com, can you tell me how the sizing is on that? Does the fleece fit larger than the size indicates? Or should I just order the size I usually wear? Thanks.

Guys I still can't believe what has been happening this post-season. Whenever the last out happened for some reason I just watched and stared without much celebration at all. As I'm watching the postgame show, I'm starting to get a little emotional. This is truly incredible. I've been a diehard sox fan for a little over 10 years now, I remember watching the games on WGN because I am in S.C. Anyways, after spending this many hours on this team throughout my life, it is just very emotional for me.

I've downloaded games 2 and 3 from MLB.com and if any of you guys are downloading or thinking about downloading the games, we should defintaely save each other 8 dollars. I'll trade games 2 and 3 for games 1 and tonight's game 4

Alright so, how do I go about getting these tickets? Also, would you guys recommend getting scout seats? Are they worth it? I am coming into Chicago from South Carolina and I am going to be taking my girlfriend to her first Sox game. We are going to the Sox/Pirates game on the 24th....should I wait to get seats the week of? How would you guys recommend I best go about this? Also, would it be possible to get scout/Jim Beam tickets at the gate? What are the amenities offered for these tickets and are they worth it (this is coming from a grad. student who is quite broke but wants a good experience). Thanks.
