    Its worth taking a bit less of a price than TOTAL FLEECING and just dealing Quintana now to avoid being burned by the ever-present threats (even in the case of Mr Consistent himself) of ineffectiveness or injury. Could you imagine if Q busts his shoulder in May for a terrible Sox team and getting basically nothing in return for him?

     

    This isn't an argument to give him away, but it is an argument to be a little more flexible on the asking price.

     

    God why cant people see this??? The sox DO have to deal Quintana this off season. This isnt Dwight Gooden. Or Kerry Wood. Hes never getting better than he is right now. He has 4 years of control. 3 is LESS lol. The market is weak. Hes not injured. Hes at his ABSOLUTE PEAK. You are rebuilding and you dont have to deal him now? Thats retarded.

    Hahn cannot wait to trade Quintana. If they wait until the deadline they may not find a suitor and then you're trying to move him in a free agent market overloaded with very good starters. A year from now they won't get half of what would be considered a low return now.

     

    Either they deal him this offseason or they keep him for the next 4 years.

     

    This. The sox arent getting more value for Q than they will right now.

    Worst case, couldn't you just complete the trade and then move McCutchen afterwards?

     

    Secondly, isn't equally s***ty that the White Sox are unwilling to take on salary to complete the transaction?

     

    This. There is no reason the Pirates can't take on Quintanas salary and then move Mccutchen later. People assume way too much. We really have no idea what's holding it up, if anything.

    It's been a running joke on myself by myself for almost 15 years now. Soxtalk for me is something I take very lightly but also use as an outlet for our common passion.

     

    Last year about this time I was pooping the place up too much. It tends to happen during he offseason lull - I begin losing my mind, as you can clearly see by now.

     

    Hey I agree with you. This should be fun. But reading poop every post makes it hard to take you seriously lol.

    If you have a problem with me why not say it to me on twitter instead of b****ing about me to other people on a message board? And my entire post wasn't me telling everyone how great I am. I called myself a "joke" for getting the scoops that I do and also said the gum video was embarrassing. Again, the people that I do talk to that read these message boards called you the same thing. I wouldn't have said that on here until I get messages from multiple people "dick allen is talking s*** about WSD on Soxtalk"

     

    Keep picking at the low hanging fruit with the gum though, but just an FYI I made fun of myself on the internet for it more than anyone else did, so you're swimming up stream with it
