My boy Eddy Alvarez 5-5, 2B. Hitting solidly above league average now, as he has at every stop so far.

Yosmer Solorzano 6.0 IP, 3ER, 0BB, 8K. Unlucky ERA aside has been solid at Great Falls as a 19 year old.

Zangari 2-3, 2 HRs

Collins 0-3

Robbins 3-4

Huge day for Alvarez as Feeky said. Great to see.

Charlotte's OF defense has to be impressive with Engel in LF, May in CF, and Bourgeois in RF. Those guys can really cover some ground.

Is Alvarez actually a legit prospect as anything more than a utility player?

And what about Robbins? That guy gets 2 or more hits about three or four days a week.

No power and he doesn't walk. But he's got 11 more hits than anybody in the CArolina league and leads the batting race (over Basto) 326 to .312.

Alvarez probably has a utility role in his future, but a starting 2B isn't yet totally out of the question.

On Robbins, read this.
