Lost Car Keys--HELP!

Featured Replies

Today was the first time I ever lost my car keys. I have learned that I should always put them in my pocket or purse right after getting out of the car or my dorm room. I have a brand new car, so I have a keyless entry remote. I don't want anyone to drive off with my car, so I'm gonna have to get my keyless entry code changed.

What I am wondering is if anyone here has a ballpark figure for how much replacing a keyless entry code is? I do have a spare set of car keys of which I am using now, but I can't go on this spare key too long.

Looking around a little bit on the internet...most new systems are like $70-90 but it'd be safe to say that it may be a lot more if you go to a dealership or something.

Saturn is a GM, and I have a GM. I had to replace a keyless entry remote and it was about $50. Granted that was 3 years ago, and I don't have an alarm or panic button on it. I would bet that it would cost more with those.
