Positive for cub fans regarding "The Fan"

Featured Replies

The baseball world will get the impression that Flub fans ACTUALLY pay attention to the game when they are there....

If this happened on a Thursday in July, this ball would have undoubtedly conked some yuppie yappin on his cell phone right in the head.

In all seriousness...here's my take on the cubs....I don't root against them, but I don't root for them. Honestly the thing I hate most about the Cubs is their fans...I don't mind the team soo much....it's the fans that get me...and I don't want to hear about this year for the rest of my life. I don't understand why people don't get it when I tell them I'm not rooting for the Cubs. Everyone tells me..."It's a Chicago team...wouldn't you want a Chicago team to win over another city's team." my answer is "NO!! It's not my team. I am loyal to my team. Where has loyalty gone...I will live and die with the sox...not jump on some other teams bandwaggon cause they're winning." It is so hard for people to get that...especially Cub fans.

or I love the other cliche' "It would be great for the city"

Say what?? What the hell is great for the city. Unless you own a bar or a hotel by the park...what the hell is so great about it for you. Most people that have used that line with me are from the fricken burbs anyway. I'm like what is so great for you?? It may be good for restaurants, bars and hotels....but is that your concern now. If you are so into helping the city then go f***in volunteer, don't use that as a reason to jump on the f***in bandwaggon!!!!!!!!!
