What is really important

Featured Replies

Yes, we love it when the White Sox beat the Cubs. Their traditions are stupid, and their dumb ass fans barely know the difference between a baseball and a hockey puck. And Abreau's five home runs in two games will haunt them for decades.

But the overall picture is much more important. Consider the things that happened during the second decade of the 21st Century:

Ozzie imploding in 2011

Adam Dunn's .159 Average

Adam LaRouche's stupidity and his under-performing

Chris Sale cutting up uniforms

A 99-loss season and a 100-loss season

And so much more.

Now all games are important, not just the ones against the Cubs. For the first time since who knows when, we can hope for a division title. Wow, it's been a long 10 years.

FInally, and most important, it looks like the rebuild is truly taking shape. Now, there is a bigger hope. The White Sox can be a contending team not just for one or two seasons. If things work out, this decade can be great. That would be something considering what happened during the last one.
