What do the Bears have to do in 2003?

Featured Replies

Over on the main Bears message board Chicago Bears Message Board the argument has been who the Bears should draft. Some want them to use the #4 pick to either draft Carson Palmer or Byron Leftwich. Others want the Bears to focus on defense, like Jimmy Kennedy or Terrell Suggs. What do you think the Bears need to do?

clearly a qb. let alex brown develope and become our pass rusher, and i guess if you go defense you gotta go secondary its our weakest place other than mike brown. But int he end, i say palmer or leftwich is a must. we cant rely on miller to be here forever. although he is godlylike good, we will need to move on and this is when we do it.

Do the following moves:

Trade Brian Robinson for a few late round picks

Release Chris Chandler

Release Henry Burris

Release Marcus Robinson

Sign Rosie Colvin

Draft an offensive coordinator.

OK the plan should be draft Defense in 1st round trade down too if we can still get a playmaker on defense like a Roy WIlliams from last year then draft a QB in round 2 because there will still be tons of talent available that early in 2nd round in someone like Ragone, Kingsbury, or Simms who still could have an impact. I like the idea of using that later pick on a QB since we wont be rsiking as much taking a Palmer or Leftwich.

Draft an offensive coordinator.

yea i heard there is a coordinator coming out of syracuse thats projected to go late 1st, early 2d round.
