Does anyone know where the Erase Protection Tab is located on a VHS tape? And does anyone know how to remove it?

to record on tapes that arent meant to be recorded on, is that what u r tryin to do?

try and put a piece of tape over the little square hole thing on the end of the tape where u would put the label on. im not positive on this but i think it might work

its actually to record the content of a video tape onto a DVD, and the directions said that the erase protection tab could erase the content of the VHS tape during the recording process.

i think the erase protection tab is supposed to go in that lil hole that i told you to cover with tape. If you look on blank vhs's they have a tab there and the movies don't im guessing if you take it out u can't record. i dont know how to help really but thats what i know

If you were putting the tape in your VCR, the tab would be on the bottom left, right in front of you. If you need to get rid of it just snap it off.
