May 18, 200421 yr At this point in the season and the way things are going with this team, I see no reason why we can't bring up Arnie Munoz until KW pulls off a trade. He can't do any worde then Danny Wrong and Felix Diaz. Give him a shot, you never know what could happen.
May 18, 200421 yr At this point in the season and the way things are going with this team, I see no reason why we can't bring up Arnie Munoz. Give him a shot, you never know what could happen. He could be as bad as wrong and Diaz. It would also prove once again that we have nopitching in our farm system. You can't build a quality pitching staff unless you're able to draw from your own system. We have enough outfielders to last a lifetime, but no pitchers. The sox could trade for another starter, but the name I hear being thrown around alot right now is Freddy Garcia. Who do the sox have to offer for this guy? Valentine? Valentine and prospects? Haven't we already traded enough prospects away? The sox need to work on boosting the farm staffs pitching. WE NEED PITCHING PROSPECTS AND WE HAVE NONE!!!!!!!!!!!!
May 18, 200421 yr Unfortunately, if we cant pull off a deal we may have to try and put Cotts in the rotation and bring up Wunsch to replace him in the bullpen. there are a lot of things that are wrong with this---Cotts probably isnt ready to pitch as a starter, you are risking ruining his confidence and taking him out of a successful situation, and finally Wunsch could suck it up. But it mght be our only short term fix.
May 18, 200421 yr Why would we want to kill the confidence of yet another minor leaguer? my thoughts exactly
May 18, 200421 yr Valentine is a common Puerto Rican name, yeah? Sometimes I wonder if these people even watch the games or follow the team based on the way they spell player names...
May 18, 200421 yr Sometimes I wonder if these people even watch the games or follow the team based on the way they spell player names... Yeah, I really miss Joe Valentine
May 18, 200421 yr Yeah, I really miss Joe Valentine Speaking of him, he's starting now in AAA for the Louisville Bats, the Reds affiliate here in town. He's looked decent and with the Reds pitching staff, you never know, he could get a shot.
May 18, 200421 yr KW needs to make something happen & quick cause this revolving door situation in the 5th slot is hurting the team.

He's looked decent and with the Reds pitching staff, you never know, he could get a shot. Yeah, he seemed like a decent guy. I wish him all the luck in the world. God knows the Reds need all that luck too.
