Can we justify an Iraqi War?

Featured Replies

I'm going to throw this out there and not offer any opinion, one way or another. Just given the portrait of the American people that has been verbally painted by President Bush, that we are a good, freedom loving, peace loving people.... and that most of believe is true, I'm sure.... Is this proposed war justified? Why?

The proposed war, according to international law, a pre-emptive U.S. attack is illegal. It violates the Nuremburg Tribunal, The Geneva Convention Protocol I, The Treaty of Westphalia, The U.N. Resolution of 1990, The Hague regulations on land warfare, the rules of civilians, the Hague Rules of Air Warfare, the 4 Geneva Conventions of 1949, the Genocide Convention, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, U.S. Army Field Manual 27-10 (1956), Article 2(4) of the U.N. Charter, the Kellogg-Brand Pact and I believe that is it.

So, the proposed war is very illegal. (NOTE: I got these from impeachment articles written by Francis A. Boyle, former World Court lawyer and professor at the University of Illinois.)
