Next Monday at 8:00 pm on Channel 11, there'll be an hour special on this checkered day in Sox history.

I was there! Didn't even know what was gong on. My old man's bowling league had a 'trip' scheduled for that night, and they didn't know what was going on either. It was VERY funny listening to all these dads get pissed at the idiots that were throwing the records, and then later trashing the field. They also cheered when the cops came onto the field and started bsuting heads. Saw a few people get whacked good, as we had seats pretty close to the field by first base. It was an experience I will never forget.

What is channel 11? Is it WGN or a local station. I love to see what was a day in infamy for the White Sox. Did the Sox win that game or was it a forfeit?

It was a double header. The second game was a forfeit, but I don't remember the outcome of the first. I was too busy watching the disco records flying out of the upper deck and outfield like lethal frisbees!

It's Chicago's local public broadcasting station. ALso, we lost the first game and of course forfeited the second.

I was sitting behind some nuns that night. Crowd was chanting Disco Sucks all night long. Nun turns to me and asks me what are they chanting. You don't say "sucks" to a nun, so I brilliantly said, "Let's go Sox." pretty proud of myself. Then the nuns start clapping along and chanting Let's go Sox, and from 5 feet away it looks like they're chanting Disco sucks. Everybody laughing and pointing at the nuns, and I felt real bad about it. True story.
