Urbina

One guy I hope we do not acquire is Urbina! We had enough problems the last few years with closing out games. "WE DO NOT NEED" another get in trouble type of guy. A closer is supposed to do just that....."CLOSE!!!" I cannot figure out what the big "Hoop-la" is about this guy. The Cubs have shown interest in him. Let them have him so we can read about how many games they blew because of late ining pitchers getting them in trouble.

Here's Urbina's last 2 years

2004: 32 appearances/ W.4 L.6/ERA 4.50/K's 56/Hits38/BB's32 For a closer to put "70" guys on base in 32 appearances is some one"WE DO NOT NEED AROUND HERE!!!!!

2003: 77 appearaces/W.3 L.4/ K's 78 (not bad!!)/ 56 hits/31 BB's Again, that's a lot of people on base for a "shut-down" type of role pitcher.

We get this guy, "WE WILL BE SORRY!!!!!!"

I've never been impressed by this guy. But, compared to Billy Koch, well .......

I don't really want him on the team either.

I sure hope Botch isin't the barometer by which we judge future relief pitchers we bring in here.
