My brother and mom are both Cubs fans and today they were watching on TV when Sammy hit number 500. They both yelled for my dad who was downstairs and he came up, heard the news and said "Oh the miracles of modern medicine". I was laughing my butt off. But the other two didnt have a clue. But Im kinda proud of my brother. He seemed to care that the Cubs were losing and he quit watching. Breaking from the usual path for Cubs fans. Theres hope for him yet! :headbang :headbang

Great line there by your Dad.

There's HOPE for him? He's a Cubs fan...That's all that's needed to not have hope.

Oh, and that must be game #499 where SamME hits a HR, but the Cubs lose! His homers are meaningless...LOL! :headbang

Well hey. Most Cubs fans would be all dazed that Sammy hit a homerun and wouldnt care about the losing part. Atleast he was smart enough to realize they were losing. My mom tried to calm him down by saying atleast Sammy hit one out. Thats what Im glad my brother didnt do...
