This should be interesting, Boers and Hawk do not like each other at all, but Hawk has been on before, and their conversations are basically civil because Boers appreciates that they rip on him and he still comes on. SoxFan562004 Posted January 20, 2005 Author Share Posted January 20, 2005 Basically a lot of clearing the air between the 3. -Saying that they took jabs at each other, but they respect each other -Hawk says a lot of the shots at the Sox is a direct result of people's personal hatred for Reinsdorf -All 3 agree that they like the Sox moves in the offseason with the theory that the power line-up wasn't getting it done -Bernstein now majorly giving props to Hawk for being giving him a lot of knowledge about baseball over the years (He is/has been a Sox fan) -Hawk takes a jab at Mariotti... (that's like having Mariotti writing a good column about you) -Bring up Hawk's Billy Beane theory, and Hawk is looking forward to seeing what the A's do this year without all 3 aces -Hawk's problem with the "moneyball" theory is that Beane has a big ego, said he knew him for a long time and has changed -Doesn't like that in the book Beane said he "hoodwinked" other GM's, specifically KW -Says Beane is a "legend in his own mind" -that's about it, they wrap up with more clearing the air Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
