I'd take ARod before anyone, disregarding salary, and then I'd have to think long and hard about who I'd take between Bonds and Guerrero.

Bonds hit bomb number 5 in the 1st already tonight. This guy gets better the older he gets.

Why don't you go case by case basis- they are all either franchise players and fan favorites (Maggs, Buerhle)...really cheap starters with All-Star potential (Crede, Jimenez)...A-type pitching prospects who will be cheap for a long time (Rauch, Honel, Diaz, Cotts)...flashy rookies one of whom was also paid huge bonus and advertised as the next coming of McGwire (Olivo and Borchard...yes, they will be making minimum wage for 2-3 years, why do you ask?). I think the Sox would need to have a really good offer to part with some of those guys. Guerrero-type offer.

 

You're right, "untouchable" is too strong a word. How's "semi-untouchable"?
