I need a wireless expert

Featured Replies

Trying to piggy back on a neighbors open connection. If you can help me please PM. If you want to tell me I am a bad person...save it....I already know.

Thanks

You're a bad person.

Make sure you have the Wireless adapter plugged into your computer and run the startup disc, it will find the network and that should be it.

Tracking your IP now and reporting you to the authorities.

Actually I'm at work now....and the only reason I want it at home is to sign on to soxtalk without using dial up.

I have like 3 networks I find...if I go to command prompt and type ipconfig I get assigned an ip. I just can't ping anything...It's weird

Just because you can get an ip doesn't mean you are going to be able to use the network.

This pretty much should do the trick. I think you also got to set the wireless card to latch onto any connection that's being sent.
