June 22, 200520 yr This is wild and, I gather, completely unexpected. http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/wireStory?id=871823
June 22, 200520 yr That is really, really, really interesting. This could definitely change the way a lot of theories are presented. I know it isn't the same, but the "grandmother cell" might be getting a lot more respect soon.... Wild, even in the courses I took this past fall/spring they were talking about how silly it is to expect one cell to respond to something and that labelled line and distributed coding is the way to go. I am honestly shocked by this.
June 22, 200520 yr So a single cell gets all geeked up at seeing someone famous? I'm speechless. /not really That is weird to think about on so many levels.

I am honestly shocked by this. You mean, a handful of cells in your brain not dedicated to processing Aniston/Kudrow girl-on-girl possibilities are really lighting up right now. Wait... sorry. The Aniston/Kudrow cells are from my brain.
