OfficerKarkovice
The Humphrey Terminal (Sun Country Airlines, charter planes, and others) which services mainly the international flights to MSP has been completely evacuated as of about 6:30 or so. Supposedly a bomb sniffing dog was alarmed when it passed by a bag left unattended. No link on this but it has been breaking news on all the local TV stations. Stay tuned. Benchwarmerjim
whoa -- Humphrey Terminal evacuated Associated Press July 14, 2005 AIRPORT0714 The Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport's Humphrey terminal was evacuated tonight after two bomb-sniffing dogs smelled something suspicious in two vending machines at the terminal. About 200 passengers were sent to a parking garage across the street and a bloomington bomb squad was on the scene. The Humphrey terminal is the smaller of the two terminals at MSP. All outgoing flights were delayed and all incoming flights were diverted to the larger Lindbergh terminal. Metropolitan Airports Commission spokesman Pat Hogan said two dogs sniffed suspicious materials in two seperate vending machines. One machine was at the south end of the terminal and the other was in the center of the terminal. Hogan said everyone is safe but officials were taking every precaution to find out what the dogs detected in the machines http://www.startribune.com/stories/462/5505441.html
