where else do you see this?

this just seems out of character for pro athletes. in this week's Sports Illustrated, it says when Colorado couldn't resign Forsberg because of cap issues, Forsberg signed with Philadelphia, reportedly for less money than a Western Conference team offered him, out of respect to Colorado, that way he likely won't have to play against them. then Jeremy Roenick waived his no-trade clause when Philly dealed him to LA, saying he wouldn't want to stand in the way of the best player in the world coming to Philly, thus helping out his old team. I was just surprised by this is all, athletes being selfless in their actions.

No doubt that any move like this by a pro athlete is suprising, but I guess hockey is the logical place for it. Even though the players got trashed for the lockout negotiations hockey players usually have a strong bond and are generally good guys
