I'm sorry if this is an obvious point but I absolutely cannot believe how many opportunities this team has squandered over the last couple of weeks. Never in my 3 decades of watching baseball have I seen so many 1-out, runners-in-scoring-position situations come up empty... never. And this from a team that's in 1st place in late September. It is friggin beyond belief. You have to be able to win these games.
