WHAT: The White Sox will celebrate their American League Central Division Championship with a fan rally open to the public.

  Major League Baseball has designated October 3 as Rally Monday in the eight major-league cities with a team advancing to the postseason. Rally Monday is free of charge and will take place rain or shine.

WHO: Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley is scheduled to participate, in addition to former White Sox players, club broadcasters and White Sox officials. Gene Honda will emcee the program, which will include playoff memories from Bill Pierce, Ron Kittle and Ed Farmer and will feature the debut of the 2005 White Sox season highlights film.

WHEN: Monday, October 3, 2005

11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. CDT

Speaking program will begin at 12:30 p.m.

WHERE: Block 37, bordered by Randolph Street on the north; Washington Street on the south; State Street on the east and Dearborn Street on the west
