I was out there celebrating with everyone. Right outside of grandstand

Police blocked off lots of streets.

Some of the chants:

OZZIE!! OZZIE!! OZZIE!! OZZIE!!

When the cops were trying to break up the crowd (to get everyone to leave and go home), The chant was, "COPS ARE CUB FANS!" :lolhitting GOOD STUFF!

Haha, same thing down at ISU. We had some Ozzie chants, Crede chants, Paulie chants, Nanana hey hey hey goodbye, when the cop came we got a "he's a cubs fan" chant going. It was awesome.

Thats hilarious that the same chants happen at 2 different locations! :lolhitting

yeah, my sister and i shot down there right after the game to get the shirts and hats from the grandstand. the line to get in was down the block a bit, but get this...

i'm unsure why, but that seemed to be the intersection where people congregated. most likely due to all the news media surrounding the grandstand. we stood in line for close to an hour, and were 5 people away from the door, when the sergent came and shut down the store. a couple folks that work there informed my sister and i that the mayor saw their line on tv, and ordered it to be shut down. they were prepared to stay open all night.

the people waiting were nothing but patient, everyone was happy to see the win. there were no streets blocked due to people, unlike the northside a couple years ago. i was really disappointed to hear this, especially coming from the mayor, supposed sox fan.

i honestly don't think this would have happened if it were the north side.

the grandstand will re-open at 10am.

i'll be there.

GO SOX!!

I was out late...went to Puffers to celebrate. It's now 6am and I'm at work.

I'm dead tired. I'm a walking zombie.

And it was worth every second.
