i need to add a splash page to a website for class. what do i name it so the link to my site actually pulls up the splash first, and then goes to the index.html file.

i named it splash.html, but it is ignored when visiting my site, but i dont want to call it the index. what do i do? thanks.

Yes, you're right this was going to get moved.

You need to rename your index page to index2, for example, and then put a redirect tag in the "new" index (splash) page.

That's the simplest thing to do. There's other options, but that's the easiest.
