Bad Deals?

Featured Replies

I made two trades the past few days that I'm pretty happy with but have been met with mixed reactions by the rest of the league.

We're a 9 team keeper league, and we're keeping 12.

I traded Placido Polanco who I had no interest in playing for Marcus Giles who I consider a solid bet at a weak position for a few years.

Then I traded Danys Baez for Coco Crisp, which a lot of people are telling me was a bad deal. Are they right? Did I jump the gun here? Did I miss something?

My outfield is packed but Baez was just an insurance policy for me, drafted in the 23rd round. Crisp is a young outfielder who can round out just about every category and plays in a hitters park in a deep lineup. He originally went in the 5th round.

The league counts holds so Baez is a pretty good RP to carry, but there's at least a few guys on waivers who can fill his spot and he wasn't going to be kept around for 5 years like I expect Crisp to be.
