Leonard Zelig
The league I am in right now starts 2 QBs and I think it is screwy. With 12 teams and bye weeks, there's just not enough QBs to go around. Is starting 2 QBs normal? I have argued against it, but the founding members say that it is the "right" way to do it. Here's the league settings: 2 QB 3 WR 2 RB 1 TE 1 WR/TE 2 WR/RB 1 K 1 DEF 6 Bench spots Passing Yards (20 yards per point) Passing Touchdowns (6) Interceptions (-2) Rushing Yards (10 yards per point) Rushing Touchdowns (7) Reception Yards (10 yards per point) Reception Touchdowns (7) Return Yards (25 yards per point) Return Touchdowns (8) 2-Point Conversions (2) Fumbles Lost (-2) Field Goals 0-19 Yards (1) Field Goals 20-29 Yards (2) Field Goals 30-39 Yards (3) Field Goals 40-49 Yards (4) Field Goals 50+ Yards (5) Field Goals Missed 0-19 Yards (-3) Field Goals Missed 20-29 Yards (-2) Field Goals Missed 30-39 Yards (-1) Field Goals Missed 40-49 Yards (0) Field Goals Missed 50+ Yards (0) Point After Attempt Made (1) Point After Attempt Missed (-3) Sack (2) Interception (3) Fumble Recovery (3) Touchdown (8) Safety (4) Block Kick (3) Points Allowed 0 points (40) Points Allowed 1-6 points (25) Points Allowed 7-13 points (15) Points Allowed 14-20 points (10) Points Allowed 21-27 points (5) Points Allowed 28-34 points (0) Points Allowed 35+ points (-10) Any comments? chimpy2121
Wow, that's a really high scoring league. 2 QBs are too many for 12 teams. Edited October 16, 2006 by chimpy2121
ZoomSlowik
I set mine up with 2 QB's too. I thought it balanced things out a little more, with a heavier reliance on QB's and a slightly lower emphasis on RB's. However, it just doesn't work too well. If you're one of the 4 teams that gets stuck with only two starting quarterbacks, you're in trouble, especially if injuries hit. You can get away with it with RB's because there are platoons and backups still get touches, but not so with quarterbacks. No more of that in the future.
