Techies, Need Help

Featured Replies

Hey gang, I have Outlook 2003 and everything has been going fine using GMail with it until yesterday afternoon.

I can receive e-mails just fine but I keep getting a repeated error whenever I try to send e-mail from my Outlook version of my GMail account.

It keeps telling me that my outgoing SMTP server does not validate the SSL certificate.

When I test the settings, everything works and the test e-mail sends. However, when I write and try to send an e-mail, I get nothing. It also says that it can't find the SMTP server (despite when running the test, it locates it)

I have tried the different troubleshooting methods offered on GMail (turning the SMTP number from 465 to 587 to 25) to no avail.

Any ideas on how to go about fixing this or is this a problem on Google/GMail's end?
