zimne piwo
Just came across this item regarding a new White Sox book! It's called WHITE SOX ESSENTIAL by Lew Freedman and it's the latest in a series including several other teams. Triumph Books is the publisher (who also issued SAY IT'S SO and TOTAL WHITE SOX). March 30, mark it down!!!
bardsroom attendant
Eh he's a Trib guy, I'll reserve judgment until I can thumb through it a bit at the store and see how much Trib bias I have to wade through.
ScottyDo
the trib is a bunch of yokels. If i hear one more of them sniff the cubs butts because they got the ULTIMATE winners in soriano and ted lilly...I mean honestly, how did soriano fair with the Nats last year? and how are they significantly different from the cubs? good question, Nate! zimne piwo
I'm not overly concerned about a "Tribune bias" permeating this new book (several teams already have their own issue, and several more are coming out this spring, according to the Triumph Books website). After years of seeing bookstore shelves chock full of books about that OTHER baseball team, I'm just glad to see more White Sox reading material becoming available to us. Blakers29
I have the BEARS ESSENTIAL book. I haven't finished it yet but I have liked what I have read so far. Plus the Foreword was written by Dan Jiggetts and I like what he does. If this looks to be anything like the Bears one, I look forward to reading it.
