The only thing Konerko has on him is Konerko can throw and frank cant.
June 25, 200322 yr Yeah. MUCH improved. The Sox are 4th in the AL in fielding % and tied for 3rd in errors. For a team that averaged about an error a game the last couple of years to have just 46 in 76 games is "playing great defense all year."

I watched Twins telecast last night. They said Sox have been playing better defense right after Valentine's error (or was it Jimenez's misplay into a double on Hocking smash). I agree, D has been better but still not good when compared to Twins, tho many teams lack on D when compared to Twins.
June 25, 200322 yr well 46 errors but how many other fielding mistakes have cost us that maybe were not scored as errors?? that is our big flaw especially if we cannot hit like we did in 2000 to overcome the tons of errors we had

June 26, 200322 yr I have been in Minny for 20 years now and I think Blyleven is one of the best announcers I have ever heard, he and Bremer kick ass over any Chicago announcers, Hawk's schtick has gotten old (his fetish over sphincters) and DJ is just plain horrible.

Hawk knows a lot about the game and is an old school gentleman; with a right partner (and no not Wimpy, lol), he could be very good. The problem is how do you find a personality to match Hawk's eccentiricities...
June 26, 200322 yr Franks a good defensive 1B. Hes big so he can reach a lot more balls and hes just not too shabby with the glove. Besides, he says he can hit better when he plays first and it shows...
